Tips for maintaining a healthy body
There are various reasons why we fall prey to diseases, which are waiting at the doorstep of the body waiting to enter and settle. Living without disease is a common goal for all humans. The main contributors to the entry of diseases into the body are:
Poor sleeping habits.
When the mind is overworked with negative thoughts, naturally we try to replace them with positive ones. By doing so, we may be suppressing may of those negative thoughts. The energy of negative thoughts does not simply disappear. It prevents the mind from resting at night. Consequently, our sleep is disturbed. Deep, restful, dreamless sleep is Nature’s gift to us. It is deeply rejuvenating for the body.
Taking life too seriously.
The older we get the more difficult it is for us to laugh. Children are laughing and playing all the time. Some adults don’t ever laugh. They take even a light-hearted joke very seriously. This puts the body in a state of great tension. Laughing puts us in the orbit of the heart from where we can love and freely share. Seriousness is the purview of the mind. It makes us self centered, it makes the ego grow and we feel isolated.
Laziness.
When the body is constantly at work there is a movement of blood and energy to all parts of the body. This helps to flush out all toxins from the body. It is better to eat light food and work more. Instead, humans gravitate towards eating heavy food and working less. This is our definition of pleasure. Exercising on a regular basis is very essential. When we exercise, the body works and the mind relaxes. When we are lazy, the body may feel relaxed, but the mind will work constantly. The more rest we give to the body, the more are the chances for diseases to enter. In olden days, people worked much harder, young or old everyone engaged in physical work. Life was simpler, more enjoyable and healthier back then.
To live without disease, think positively about others. Everything in Nature is towards giving. Only the mind is oriented towards taking. In the sea, waves are constantly at work, churning the water, pushing waste towards the shore. Trees bend towards the source of water. Nature is positive while the mind tends to be negative.
Be an example by working hard and wishing well for others. This is the key to happiness and good health.
Blessings to all
