Career and Health
Career:
Every one aspires to get into a career of their choice after education. Some may get a
job but not to their expectation. A job is viewed as a security in life as the
money earned takes care of ones family.
Job satisfaction is a major factor but many in developing countries sidestep this
due to survival instincts. Money earned with hard work is valuable and stays
with you forever. Whereas the money earned through wrong means like cheating,
corruption cannot be saved as it is squandered
easily.
Genuine aspiration for promotion and power in career is justified provided one works
hard the honest way. Any easy rise in career through dishonest means leads to
rapid downfall. One should work for the organization keeping in mind the growth
of the organization and corresponding growth in ones career. The degrees of
benefits accrued are: the results of Karma in hard work. As the Hindu scriptures
say UDYOGAM PURUSHA LAKSHANAM. It means progress is derived with job [Service,
Business of self employed trades etc]. Dignity of labor should be respected
whether high or low. Mans earnings sustain his family and children who in turn
lead the next generation.
As the saying goes an IDLE MAN IS LIKE A DEVILS WORKSHOP. Hence every man should be
gainfully employed and contribute to the growth of the Organization, self and
country. In pursuing a career no shortcut methods to be followed which
inconveniences other colleagues. Present day thinking that one man’s gain is
another man’s loss; this should be
avoided.
Everyone’s career should grow along. Do justice to your job [KARMAS] the results will
automatically follow. Switching jobs for monetary gains is undesirable unless it
warrants. So personal relationship with colleagues, good rapport with superiors
and clients are the positive features on should have.
One should think how much he contributes to the organization rather than
what the organization does for him. Productive use of the time management and
job skills helps in career rise. WORK IS WIRKSHIP, Family tension reflects on
work and vice versa. Any past reversals in work should not reflect on future
prospects. Ones talent should not be an impediment in work. Jealousy mentally
should be avoided.
Serving
to grow and growing to serve should be the motto. The Knowledge and skills
accrued should be passed to others. It should not be with held for selfish
interest. Team work is more important; one should merge each individual idea
with the team objective resulting in growth.
A job well done satisfies one as well as his employer. EGO should not hamper
decisions. Sufficient time to relax one’s mind should be available to recharge
their batteries. New creative ideas for the benefit of mankind should be imbibed
instead of Stereotype work culture,
