Training the leaders of tomorrow.
Crossing a river in a small boat requires skill and knowledge. Skill to run the boat and knowledge of the waters. A river may have dangerous whirlpools that appear harmless on the surface. A knowledgeable boatman will know where they are and if the boat happens to encounter one, he will have the skill to take the boat to safety. A leader is like a boatman. The world is like a flowing river. The world may be peaceful for the most part, but at times it could also become dangerous. A good leader will have the knowledge and skill to take his or her people to safety and will always be there for them. The knowledge that is most essential for a leader is about the value of each life. Everyone has potential. Harnessing that potential for the benefit of the nation not just for today but for generations to come takes skill on the part of the leaders.
Knowledge does not come about overnight. It takes time, experience, and the right training. Leaders should be groomed and motivated from a young age. Those who are ready to sacrifice their lives in the defense of others should be given priority, such as those serving in the armed forces. They know the value of life and the value of the country. Those who are willing to learn from their example will become good leaders.
If a boatman has never crossed a dangerous river is given charge of a boat full of people, he will be putting his life and the lives of the passengers at risk. The boat may never reach the other shore. Leaders are given charge of a nation which is like a boat. The future is unpredictable for the world. Dangers may arise tomorrow which threatens the well being of a country. The leader should be fearless in defending his or her people. Fearlessness comes from knowledge, experience, and training. Otherwise, blind fear takes over leading to calamities. There are plenty of good training opportunities all over the world for leaders of today and the leaders of tomorrow. By encouraging such training stints abroad, leaders of tomorrow will develop relationships with people from other countries. This is a sure way to ensure that peace and diplomacy rule all over the world.
Blessings to all
