Ayurvedic treatment for pain
There are 4450 important nerves out of the total 7 lakhs crore nerves in the human body. Discrete centers of nerves in Ayurveda called Marma points are important in healing. If these points are open, that area of the body can function; if closed there is loss of function and paralysis. The utility of these Marma points was known to healers and warriors alike in ancient times.
Certain diseases can cause hardening of the skin, for example in a finger, and this may result in pain as a nerve gets compressed. Further, blood circulation to the area may get compromised. The physical compression also affects the relevant Nadis in the area, which further reduces circulation and causes functional impairment.
The Solution lies in Ayurveda and knowledge of Pitta, Vata and Kapha. Applying an appropriate Ayurvedic ointment to the affected area lightly will help heal the area. After 4 hours, a heated chunk of rock salt is applied to the area. This will facilitate clearing of the Nadis of the area, along with resumption of proper circulation and function. This approach obviates the need for any allopathic medications and can be applied to any process that causes pain, itching or eye discomfort.
