Good Drivers
Good Drivers
When God designed all creatures, like birds and animals, HE did not intend for any class differences, castes or creed. Those differences came from the minds of men. Even if a tiny bit of rot sets into a wonderful fruit such as an orange, it spoils the taste, its nutrition and creates waste and unnecessary suffering for those eating it. Similarly in a car, if the driver has a little “rot” in his mind, the vehicle may never get to its proper destination, and all the passengers ultimately suffer severely. If the driver is preoccupied with the caste of those in the vehicle his mind will not be on the road ahead. In order for a country to get to its destination the drivers of the country must be properly qualified.
Just as a car that’s being operated by an irresponsible drunkard, druggie or one who does not know how to drive the car properly will soon crash with disastrous consequences, so too do the leaders of the country need to be properly qualified and practically knowledgeable about the world in order for them to lead the country to its proper destiny. Leaders should be active, talented, knowledgeable, responsible and practically trained.
Just like a baby that has tasted its mother’s milk will cry for it in any place, so too will a properly trained individual, suitable for the job, always be in the right position to lead the country.
Doctors who were once trained in medicine, can never let go of the profession. Similarly, politicians should be passionate about what they’re doing for the country, from their hearts, and they will never waiver from their jobs. They must be active, obedient and cooperative. Just like a skilled driver needs to avoid trees, bumps in the road, animals crossing suddenly and opposing traffic, a politician needs to be prepared for the ups and downs that come with the job and be able to guide the country forward with talents and skills. The leaders should always have the safety of the country, of utmost concern, in their hearts. Swamiji is confident that in 3 to 4 months, the country will definitely have all of the necessary input to create a system where leaders will be proper drivers of the nation, to create an output that results in the country becoming gloriously prosperous. But it also depends on the passengers of the car to cooperate with the proper driver to get the country to its ultimate destiny. The four wheels of the nation, that give it the most stability are:
1. doctors
2. agriculturalists
3. Proper advisers
4. scientists. With proper leaders at the helm of the country, the reward is endless. When numbers were first invented, we only had nine numbers- one through nine. After the number zero, came an infinite number of numerical possibilities. Similarly, once we have the right drivers in place, the benefits will be billions over billions to the country.
M is for money, and for mindfulness.
UP is for the state where the training will happen for the next driver of the nation
A is for the new driver
Blessings to all
