A new way to travel
Every day, there are more and more vehicles pouring onto Indian roads. In places, it is faster to walk than travel in cars. Besides this, the amount of pollution is growing daily. It is affecting the health and wellbeing of the people. There are millions of people who are below the poverty line who cannot afford private means of transport. Is it fair to those who don’t use vehicles or cannot use them, to breathe polluted air that comes about as a result of people who use vehicles? There can be a happy medium. The answer may lie in using new means of transport that don’t use fossil fuels and are nonpolluting.
A drone like vehicle that can take single or a couple of passengers from point A to point B would likely come about in the near future. Fixed routes will be set up and managed from a central control room. These flying vehicles can be powered through wind, solar and other renewables. It is within the reach of human ingenuity to come up with such vehicles very soon. Just like we have roads and highways, we will have airways and air roads which will make travel very fast, efficient and the space that is now being occupied by vehicles can be turned into parks and greenery. Would this not be a wonderful thing for humankind?
Blessings to all
