Cell phone life
These days handheld gadgets like cellphones are ubiquitous. There are probably more cell phones than people in the world. The internal circuitry of a cell phone needs to be in perfect working order in order for messages to appear on the screen. The messages on the screen may change, but the physical phone does not. The body is similar to a cell phone. It is a receiving station for messages which flash across the screen of the mind. Most of what we see on the screen of the mind are our desires and wishes. We hardly ever see or consider the desires and wishes of others.
It is a miraculous occurrence that so much information flashes across our mind every day. The body, like the cellphone does not appear to change but the message constantly changes. Just like we can dial a certain number and reach a person, the manner in which we “dial” the mind, determines how it functions.
We feel that we are permanent entities. Just as a cell phone is fragile and can stop working if it is dropped or damaged, the body is equally if not more delicate. Like a cell phone that needs to be charged to work well, the mind also needs to be charged. If the mind is negatively charged, our actions will reflect negativity, and if it is positively charged, our actions will reflect positivity.
The great thing about the mind is that before we undertake any action, the mind gives us a preview of what will likely follow in terms of the consequences of our actions. If the thought is positive, actions that follow will naturally be good. If thoughts are predominantly negative, this pause during which a mental image flashes gives us enough time to pull back and not undertake such actions. This warning system always works. But we choose to override it through our carelessness.
Just as a cell phone can work with different plans, the body works with different patterns of thoughts. If the usage if more, we pay more for the cell phone plan. Similarly, if we are constantly worrying and being fearful, we pay more in the form of the health of the body. Just as we keep conversations brief with strangers or those who have dialed us by mistake, we must keep our interactions with our thoughts brief and to the point. If one is always on the phone, it will be hard reach such as person as the line would be busy. Similarly, if we are constantly engaged with our thoughts, higher inspirations and messages that come from within will find a “busy tone”.
So, it is best to dial the right thought, keep actions consistent with good thoughts and keep the “line open” in the mind so we can see good messages that our inner intuition brings us all the time.
