Three pillars on which the world depends
There are many blessings we receive in every moment from Mother Nature. She takes care of us from head to toe. Every cell in our body is nourished by Her presence inside us as the air we breathe. There is nothing expected of us in return. Whether we are grateful or not, we continue to receive and receive. What can we as Humans do in return? We cannot give anything to Nature as everything belongs to Nature including our physical body.
Through our mind and thoughts, we can help fellow human beings. By helping one another, we are indirectly helping Mother Nature. There is less burden placed on Nature. Our world of humanity will thrive if everyone respects:
Anna (food)
Vidya (knowledge)
Kanya (the ideals of marriage)
Food is the basic requirement of all, rich or poor. No matter which country we belong to, without eating every day we cannot live. It is very sad to see even one human being going hungry. Our thought should be that every human being, no matter where they live, should not go to bed hungry. Everyone should have access to simple, tasty and nutritious food. It is easily achievable if every individual thinks of at least one other individual’s hunger.
After food comes knowledge. This is food for the mind. By shunning right knowledge majority willingly go “hungry”. There are some in desperate search of right knowledge. Whatever aspect of life it may relate to, such knowledge should be readily shared with our fellow human beings. Unlike food, which when digested is forgotten, knowledge when properly understood and assimilated can never be forgotten. That will form the basis of our lives. There is no limit to knowledge and consequently, there is no limit to the growth and prosperity of humanity.
Traditionally marriage has been the foundation of family and the propagation of humans. The ideal of marriage is giving. This is exemplified in the symbolic act of Kanyadaan done by the bride’s father. Thoughts are like our sons and daughters. We raise them and just as we look for a well qualified, educated, kind and sincere groom we should also seek a suitable home in the world for our thoughts. Such homes are the hearts of people. We may have to struggle to enter the hearts of people. But such a struggle is well worth it. In the process, we give up our ego, jealousy, possessiveness, and attachments. We become free and happy. Let’s share Anna, Vidya, and Kanya with all.
Blessings to all
