Family, State and Country
We are all Indians. We should have a collectively shared mentality of mutual respect and camaraderie. That mindset begins with the family. Children should obey their parents. A wife and her husband should support each other and foster cooperation within the family. This strengthens the family unit which is the building block of a strong state and ultimately the country.
The strength of a country begins with each citizen - each one of us should aim to achieve something in life that helps grow the country. This starts with problem solving. Individuals should come together in small groups of four or five with a qualified mediator, who is knowledgeable and skilled, and work towards reaching solutions. This process begins with first understanding what caused the problem in the first place - for example was it money or a lack of knowledge that incited the issue? It’s important that there is shared purpose; people should avoid competing with each other or trying to beat someone else.
Mutual respect is the most important thing within a society. Respect should not be based on money or a person’s level of knowledge. It’s crucial that the value of all individuals is not underestimated. Everyone has a role to play and a contribution to make and is equal to anyone else - just like the elements of fire, earth, water and sky are different but equal in value.
To foster this shared respect, people should be happy. Waking up early to see the sun rise and sharing a hot drink with a few other people creates solidarity. Children should be guided to live the right way. When you eat, do it joyfully with gratitude for the food. Refrain from talking needlessly about others. Enjoy the gift that is your body and treat it with respect. Sit in front of a body of water and watch the flow and let it remove the negative thoughts from your mind. Believe that you are a superman capable of extraordinary things. At night before going to bed give thanks to God for the gift of life and when you wake up in the morning affirm to yourself that you want to accomplish something of value during this new day. Life is meant for enjoyment through work. Avoid jealousy and quarrels with others. Say to yourself that you have the willpower to overcome any hurdle and that you have the courage of a lion. Never work compulsively from fear, for bribes or because of your caste. Introspect and ask yourself if you have done things correctly and try to do better next time. Remember we are atman - God living in a physical body. Everyone has the same God force living inside them. Respect and pray for each other.
Blessings to all,
