Mission Statement
The Sri Annapurneshwari Trust is borne from the vision of Sri Poonambala Swamiji. Swamiji’s life work is devoted to the service of the betterment of others. Swamiji teaches us that our life’s purpose is to contribute to the improvement of humanity. Our focus should be to bring each other together as one collective, working towards the advancement of the human consciousness through self-realization. He asks us to look inside ourselves to find the God consciousness within us and express it through hard work aimed at the service of our communities.
Swamiji’s projects have included the construction of temples located at the four corners of the city limits of Banagalore. His temple in R.T. Nagar serves as the center point for his work and the site through which he reaches his global audience. This website is an extension of his reach so that he can utilize his wisdom towards the solution of problems in our everyday lives. He declares enthusiastically that our lives are a series of problems and puzzles, each with its own unique solution; we improve ourselves constantly as we work towards solving these problems and in turn advance ourselves towards the realization of God. And so the Annapurneshwari Trust seeks to give an opportunity to those who are willing to use Swamiji’s wisdom to improve their own lives and the lives of others so we all may find God.
As Swamiji helps each of us realize our own dreams, he dreams of one day opening a State-of-the-art, modern, hospital in the city of Bangalore that will bring advanced medical technologies to India. He envisions a facility that immediately will be recognizable as a center for advanced medical care, one that will integrate the strengths of traditional Western Medicine and Surgery with the broad wisdom of Eastern diet and Yogic practices. We welcome visitors from all countries and religions to this site as equals who share a common goal of achieving long-lasting happiness through service and the advancement of knowledge so that all may lead the beautiful life that God intended for them at the moment of their birth.
